What can I do to track activity that takes place on my Assets?

Digitization of record keeping is quickly becoming a way of life. It is also a very effective method of querying an asset. SAP, MAXIMO, and others can provide summary details of work orders. The down side, the records sometimes are incomplete and or they lack the details of actions taken by trades, especially when the trades are contractors that have no available contact with your CMMS program.

When attending at an asset to perform condition monitoring or maintenance, using the NFC function of your cell phone, you tap the asset card to upload the asset information to your NFC reader. After you have completed your work, performed your condition monitoring activity, exercised maintenance duties, or visually inspected the asset, the details of your visit can be hand entered or voice to text entered into the record and posted back onto the card as a historical record of your visit.
As soon as the card is written and updated, a message gets sent to the cloud by way of your device. Cloud data is transmitted to your inbox and CMMS.
Confirmation of your activity, time of attendance and description of next steps whether there is no further action required, or a further intervention will be posted and can be incorporated into a new work order.
